ISLAMABAD, Oct 19: The US ambassador to Pakistan, Wendy Chamberlin, called on Commerce Minister Razak Dawood on Friday and discussed with him avenues of enhanced trade between the two countries.
The minister apprised the envoy of the export and economic activities which had been affected due to the September 11 attacks. He said the US government should asks the American buyers not to cancel their import orders as the Pakistani exporters were engaged in their optimum production activities to meet their demands.
The minister reiterated Pakistan government’s stand on fighting terrorism unitedly with the US and with other peace- loving countries.
The US ambassador assured the minister that her government was alive to the problems of the Pakistani exporters and would take all possible measures to facilitate them.
