LARKANA, Feb 15: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal Sindh General Secretary Senator Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro has said that the United States does not understand the language of decency and the superpower’s days are numbered.

Mr Soomro said in his address at a seminar on ‘Difa-i-Islam’ organised by Jamiat Talala-i-Islam (JTI) on Thursday that the US, which was the biggest enemy of Islam, would now be paid in the same coin for what it was doing against Muslims around the world.

He urged the Muslim youths to defeat anti-Islamic forces by arming themselves with latest scientific knowledge and techniques.

The seminar adopted a number of resolutions demanding resignation of federal minister Sher Afgan for moving a bill in the National Assembly seeking permission for open trade of wine. A resolution called on the US to stop bloodshed and also urged the United Nations to play its role.

SHOT DEAD: The old feud between Abros and Unnars erupted once again when Muneer Ahmed Unnar was shot dead while taking tea at a roadside hotel on the Airport Road on Thursday.

Immediately after the murder heavy contingent of police besieged Baqapur village on the outskirts of Larkana on suspicions the murderers had taken shelter there.

The DPO told this scribe that the police had combed the entire village but found all the houses vacant and majority of them already demolished.

RICE MILL ATTACKED: Unknown people fired rockets on Bhutto Rice Mills in Naudero late on Wednesday night, burning to ashes a large quantity of paddy piled up in the mills.

The outlaws also fired on the mills’ power transformer before escaping. The mill is owned by Nisar Bhutto who president of People’s Party Parliamentarians and a union council councillor.

The party’s local leadership announced it would observe complete strike on Friday against the attack.
