Theft at colonel’s house

LAHORE, Feb 14: Servants of a retired colonel broke into his house in Defence and made off with cash and valuables worth thousands of rupees here on Wednesday.

Police said servants of Col Muzammil Ashfaq (retired) took away cash, jewellery and other valuables in the absence of the family.

However, the exact loss is being calculated.

ROBBERIES: Robbers stormed into a house on Walton Road and escaped with valuables worth thousands of rupees.

Four robbers intercepted a family at a petrol pump on main boulevard in Iqbal Town and snatched cash, jewellery and cell phones at gunpoint.

Two robbers deprived a man in Model Town of Rs50,000 in cash and a cell phone while two gunmen snatched Rs25,000 in cash and a cell phone from a man on Egerton Road.

Two people were deprived of cash in thousands of rupees and cell phones in the Civil Lines area while two others were robbed of cash and cell phones in Gulberg and Ichhra.

VEHICLES: Two cars were reportedly driven away from the Factory Area and Baghbanpura while four motorcycles were stolen from Garden Town, Muslim Town and two from Mozang.
