LAHORE, Feb 3: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday reserved judgment for Feb 6 in the murder case of former federal minister Derek Cyprian.
A court official said arguments from both prosecution and complainant’s side had been concluded. A former banker, Hamayun Nabeel, and a former police inspector Ali Imran Niazi besides two alleged hired assassins had been charged with killing the ex-minister.
The accused had allegedly kidnapped and killed Mr Cyprian to misappropriate Rs13 million from his account. Police have recovered more than Rs10 million from the banker, while the police official has secured a bail after the deceased’s family reportedly withdrew the charges against him.
