GUJRANWALA, Feb 3: Dacoits looted the house of an expatriate, killed him on resistance, besides taking away valuables from a mobile franchise centre and a car in three strikes here on Saturday.
Reports said four robbers forced their entry into the house of Kuwait-returned youth Sardar Ahmad in Qila Dedar Singh area by scaling the boundary wall. They held hostage the inmates and started looting. The robbers attacked him with a knife, killing him on the spot. They also injured his wife when she came to rescue Sardar and escaped with valuables.
Police have removed the body to civil hospital for autopsy and registered a case.
About six bandits entered a mobile franchise office owned by Muhammad Shoaib and held him hostage along with salesmen and customers. They made off with a cash of Rs200,000, cards worth Rs30,000, 50 SIMs and about 16 mobile sets at gunpoint.
Some robbers drove away with a car (LWA-1209) owned by Muhammad Afzal from Sarfraz Colony. He had parked the vehicle outside his house.
