SWABI, Feb 2: The ruling Pakistan Muslim League took out a procession here on Friday against blasts in different parts of the NWFP. District Nazim Shahram Khan and leaders of the PML led the protesters, which included union council nazims, councillors and PML workers. The procession started from the district council office and culminated at the Kernel Sher Chowk.

The protesters criticised the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal provincial government for failing to provide security to the people of the province.

“The NWFP government should accept its failure in providing security to the people and resign,” said the district nazim, adding that lawlessness had affected economic activities in the province and it might discourage investors.

Former provincial minister Ghaffar Khan Jadoon said bomb blasts negated the tall claims made by the MMA government regarding law and order in the province.
