ATTOCK, Feb 2: Nearly 2,000 personnel of different law- enforcement agencies will be on guard at Hattar village during Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz’s visit to inaugurate a gas scheme on Saturday. Sources said the venue of the meeting had already been condoned off while the surrounding area was given under the control of the Elite Force.

In the wake of recent terrorism incidents in some parts of the country, the law-enforcement agencies have made unprecedented security arrangements for the prime minister’s visit to his constituency (NA-59 Attock).

Besides the deployment of about 500 policemen of Attock, additional force has also been be called in from the districts of Chakwal, Jhelum and Rawalpindi.—Correspondent
