KARACHI, Jan 31: The Pakistan People’s Party has strongly condemned the government’s accusations against party leaders, including Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Nisar Khuhro, about burning of the hoardings with photos of General Pervez Musharraf and Chief Minister Arbab Rahim in Larkana.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, MPA Ayaz Soomro and MNA Anwar Bhutto said the PPP and its workers had nothing to do with the incident. They observed that the big hoardings and portraits were not the barometers of popularity among the masses.
The PPP leaders said they would not be frustrated by the threats of registration of cases against them as they had been facing a number of cases for the political vendetta and in future too they could face such concocted cases with the same bravery.—Staff Reporter
