TANK, Jan 25: Three policemen were kidnapped from a checkpoint in the Kot Azam area, according to witnesses. Kidnappers after surrounding a checkpoint in the limits of the Gomal police station whisked the policemen away along with their rifles. Last week, one policeman was killed and another injured when their van was attacked near Tank.

In another incident, 15 rockets were fired at a post in Shakai on Tuesday night and two men were kidnapped from the area when they were transporting fuel wood to the camps of security forces in a pick-up, said the sources.

The two worked for an army contractor and were identified as Amjad Bangash and Hidayatullah. Two days ago, a contractor, Sarwar Khan, of the security forces, and his driver were kidnapped while carrying fodder for mules to the camps.
