RAHIM YAR KHAN, Jan 21: The EDO (Education) has cancelled the transfer of 35 teachers after a district council’s resolution ordered him to do so.

EDO Sanaullah said action would be taken against those teachers who did not join their former stations.

His predecessor had transferred 200 teachers, which were called illegal by teachers’ organisations. The district assembly formed a committee to investigate the matter, which found 35 transfers illegal.— Correspondent
