SIALKOT, Jan 19: Three members of a family were shot dead and another was injured seriously by eight unidentified car riders reportedly over a political rivalry a few yards from the boys degree college in Daska on Friday morning.

Shafqat, Ansar, Riaz Ahmad and Ejaz were going to Daska by a car for the confirmation of their bails in the murder case of Begowala union council nazim.

Eight gunmen in two cars having no registration number plates, opened fire on them, killing Shafqat, Ansar and Riaz on the spot and injuring Ejaz. He was admitted to Daska THQ Hospital in critical condition.

The attackers sped away firing shots in the air.

The dead were charged with the murder of Begowala nazim Azmatullah Warraich on Feb 2, 2005.

A large contingent of police surrounded the area.

It is claimed that the family of Azmatullah was involved in the incident.

The bodies were handed over to their family after autopsy.

Police are investigating with no arrest.
