DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jan 17: A man was shot dead and two others suffered injuries here on Wednesday in a clash between two groups of Buzdar tribe over a ‘Kala Kali’ (adultery) issue in Tuman Buzdar area.

A heavy contingent of border military police has been deployed in the area to avert further clash.

Reports said Umer Buzdar of Fazla Kacch had allegedly found Sharif s/o Din Mohammed Buzdar in an objectionable condition with his daughter-in-law. A tribal jirga was held over the issue and it asked the accused to leave the area otherwise he would be killed. The accused and his family declined to leave the village.

On Wednesday, Umer Buzdar along with his accomplices attacked the accused’s family, killing Sharif’s father Din Mohammed and injuring two others.

When contacted, political assistant to tribal area Naeemullah Bhatti told this correspondent that the situation was in control and the accused would be arrested soon.
