Resounding win for Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Jan 9: Islamabad needed just 6.2 overs on the final day to complete a comprehensive innings and 151-run victory over Abbottabad in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League match at Diamond Club Ground on Tuesday.

The visitors added a further 37 runs to their overnight total of 209 for seven before they were bowled out for 246 in the second innings.

Azhar Mahmood, the former Test all-rounder, finished with four for 41 while skipper Rao Iftikhar dismissed Dilawar Khan. Mohammad Siddique did not bat in either innings because of an injury.
