THATTA: PPP activists criticise Qaim

THATTA, Jan 9: The PPP Bachayo Action Committee has said that the provincial president of Pakistan People’s Party Syed Qaim Ali Shah has shattered the confidence of party workers in Thatta by installing his own favourites in the new district body.

The committee members said while addressing party workers who had travelled to the city mostly from coastal talukas to participate in the celebrations for the 79th birth anniversary of late Z. A. Bhutto on Tuesday, that that the provincial leadership had thrust on them the people who had betrayed the party in the past.

The step would pave the way for the turncoats and political rivals to creep into the party and safeguard their vested interests when the party came to power, they said and warned that the genuine and sincere workers would never allow it to happen again.

They lauded the services of late Bhutto and highlighted his philosophy, doctrine and sacrifices and vowed they would never even think of betraying the party.

Former MPA Ghulam Qadir Palijo, former member PPP Sindh council Abdul Sattar Lohar, Khaliq Soomro, Syed Iqbal Shah, Sardar Luqman Malkani, Ms. Shahnaz Joyo and Rizwan Shah who led processions onboard vehicles and on foot marched through the main thoroughfares before reaching the meeting venue set up in front of the Thatta press club.

Meanwhile, the PPP district office-bearers announced that they would observe the 79th birthday anniversary of late Bhutto at Soomra Manzil on January 13.
