KARACHI, Jan 6: Five ships carrying lube oil, rock phosphate and to load clinkers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Another nine vessels loaded with steel, chemicals and general cargo and to load molasses are expected to arrive on Monday.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Corn Thaikos, Calvin P. Titus, Friendly Sea to unload and load containers and Marcalabria to unload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of two.

The ships, which departed included Iran Hesabi, Calvin P Titus, while Heng Shan, Oel Aishwarya, Bunga Mearsk, George, Marcalabria, Syria Star and Corin Thaikos are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 93,317 tons comprising 6,096 tons of export cargo including 2,059 tons of rice and 87,221 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Rising One, with lube oil, Mol Asante, Wan Hai-301 with containers, Denden with 8,000 tons of rock phosphate and Courageous to load 44,000 tons of clinker.

The following vessels are due on Monday: Alfile with steel cargo Matina with 12,500 tons of palm oil, Lalazar with crude oil, Taipan to load 22,000 tons of molasses, Al-Marwah with chemicals with chemicals, Dimitris and Kota Permal with containers and Change Le Men with general cargo.
