LAHORE, Jan 3: Wapda’s Member (power) Anwar Khalid has said that all power distribution companies will resort to 30 minutes loadshedding from Thursday till Jan 9,.

Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, he said that owing to reduced release of water from reservoirs and gas supply cut to thermal units the capacity of power generation had decreased significantly resulting in loadshedding to bridge the supply and demand gap of 800MW.

The loadshedding would continue till Jan 9, when the situation would be reviewed to take fresh decisions accordingly, he added.

He said all distribution companies had been directed to compile their respective loadshedding schedule and advertise it for the information of general public.
