LAHORE, Dec 26: Two people, including a woman, were murdered for different reasons in the city on Tuesday. A security guard was clubbed to death by unidentified people in Green Town. Azam, 35, was asleep in a house near Hamdard Chowk when some unidentified people hit his head with a sharp-edged weapon, leaving him dead on the spot.

However, the Kot Lakhpat division SP did not confirm the incident.

A man clubbed his wife to death in the Manawan area.

Police said Yaqoob of Marl Mari was married to Safia of Okara some time ago.

The accused often used to quarrel with Safia for her loose morals. On Monday, following a quarrel, Yaqoob beat her with a club, killing her on the spot.

The police have arrested the accused.
