PESHAWAR, Dec 14: People Living With HIV/Aids (PLWHA) have demanded of the government to extend them proper treatment facilities as well as jobs so that they can lead a respectable life.
The demand was raised by an association of the PLWHA formed at a meeting of some 20 HIV/Aids patients in Kohat on Wednesday, said an official of the World Health Organisation (WHO) while talking to Dawn on Thursday.
“The objective of the association is to press the government to provide HIV/Aids patients with proper treatment and jobs,” he said.
He regretted that most of the NGOs receive funds from donors in the name of HIV/Aids patients but don’t spend on them.
