SIALKOT, Dec 9: Six men kidnapped a young widow from her house on Friday night and allegedly gang-raped her in Amreekpura-Sambrial.

Reports said six accused, including Zulfiqar Ahmad and Babar, stormed into the house of `R’ and kidnapped her at gunpoint. They took her to a nearby outhouse and raped her.

Police have registered a

case and arrested Zulfiqar. Further investigations are under way.

In another incident, five accused kidnapped a girl, Iram Shehzadi, at gunpoint from her house at Happu Garha-Motra, Daska, on Saturday. Motra police have registered a case against accused Shagufta Bibi, Said Muhammad, Shahid, Rafiq and Naveed Butt with no arrest or recovery.

Meanwhile, three motorcyclists kidnapped youth Khurram Sanaullah at gunpoint from Chaokey-Sambrial on Saturday. He had recently returned from USA. A case has been registered.

RECOVERED: Body of a local trader was found from Sambrial railway station on Saturday.

Reports said some unidentified men slit throat of Naseer Ahmad with a sharp-edged weapon. He was father of three children. Sambrial police have registered a case with no clue.

POLICE BLAMED: Headmistress of government girls’ elementary school has alleged that the Daska Saddar police is providing VIP treatment to the arrested dacoits.

Talking to newsmen at Daska on Saturday, she said more than 16 accused, including two influentials Abdul Razzaq and Master alias Mithu, had looted gold ornaments, cash, electronics and other valuables worth Rs0.6 million at gunpoint from her house at Tariqabad-Chhanga, Daska, about 16 days ago. She said the police arrested only Abdul Razzaq and Mithu who were being protected.

She said the other accused were continuously threatening her family with dire consequences for pursuing the case.

She has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, IGP Ziaul Hassan and Additional IG Malik Muhammad Iqbal to look into the matter.
