MIRPURKHAS, Dec 8: Father of two murdered sisters allegedly killed by his son-in-law has appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to order an impartial inquiry into the double murder and ensure the alleged killer, Aurangzeb Leghari, was behind bars.

In a message faxed on Thursday Mohammad Qasim Solangi charged that Aurangzeb shot his daughters, Rukhsana and Faraz Naz, at their home in Satellite town on December 1.

He said that Mr Aurangzeb had divorced late Rukhsana who was pregnant a month ago but she was still living in his home with her sister Farah Naz.

Mr Solangi charged that police had so far failed to arrest Aurangzeb because he belonged to an influential family. Police instead arrested his cousin and detained him for a day, he said.

Mr Aurangzeb’s family was threatening him of dire consequences, he said, and demanded that the double murder case should be transferred to some honest police officer.
