MITHI: 23 injured in accident near Mithi

MITHI, Dec 4: About 23 passengers were injured here on Monday when a coach collided head-on with a Chhakra on Mithi-Naukot road.

According to eye witnesses, a Karachi-bound coach going from Islamkot, rammed into a Chhakra coming from the opposite direction, while negotiating a turn close to the shrine of Misri Shah, near Mithi town, as a result of which 23 passengers received injuries.

Those injured included, coach driver Mehar Khan, starter Lilo Rangar, Gobind Ram, Ghulam Mohammad Junejo, Dilip Mehraj, Atam, Shahzad Rajput, Om Parkash, Ms Mooli, Kewal Ram Meghwar, Ghulam Shabbir Dasti, Mohammad Ali Bajir, Ms Jama, Amolakh, Liaquat Ali Malik, Pardeep Maheshwari, Allahdad Thebo, Nehchal, Shardha, Raju, Pirbhu, Sono Kolhi and Mohammad Usman Junejo.

The coach driver remained stuck up for a considerable time in his vehicle and taken out by the people gathered there.

According to eye witnesses, the coach driver lost control over steering of the vehicle while negotiating a turn and it rammed into the Chhakra coming from the opposite direction.
