PESHAWAR, Dec 3: Jamiat Talaba-i-Islam (JTI), the student wing of JUI-F, has alleged that academic atmosphere in the educational institutions of the province is being ruined by Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT), the student wing of JI.

"Staging protest rallies, holding demonstrations and compelling students to boycott classes over non issues has become a routine for the IJT," said Mohammad Noor Azad, provincial president of JTI, while addressing a press conference here on Sunday.

They brought out protest rallies and held demonstrations throughout the year on one pretext or the other, he said, adding that they took to roads against the Aga Khan Education Board and raised a hue and cry on the issue of students’ union.

“All this is having a negative impact on the students who want to study,” he said.

Azad warned the IJT leaders and activist to refrain from levelling baseless allegation against JUI-F leaders or be ready for a fitting response.

Flanked by scores of JTI activists, he said they would never tolerate the insult of ulema.

According to Azad, during a protest rally in Peshawar on November 30, the IJT activists had criticised JUI-F leaders.
