KARACHI, Dec 1: Allied Bank Limited (ABL) has been declared “bank of the year 2006” by British financial magazine -- The Banker, published by Financial Times Business Limited.

According to ABL here on Friday, the award was presented to ABL President Khalid A. Sherwani at a ceremony held in London on November 30.—APP
