LAHORE: Nov 29: Islami Jamiat Tulaba activists on Wednesday observed a black day in the Punjab University and other city colleges by wearing black armbands to register their protest against the police action.
They said the PU administration had failed to solve students’ problems and involving police to stop students from exercising their right to protest.
An IJT spokesman claimed that the police were also raiding at students’ houses and arresting them. They said the police were deployed in force outside all educational institutions to stop students from coming out on roads.
They said the IJT activists would block all main city roads, if the PU and the government did not accept their demands, including the release of IJT leaders.
