Three freed in kidnap case

FAISALABAD, Nov 29: The Anti-terrorist court has exonerated three accused involved in a kidnapping for ransom case.

According to the prosecution, Ajmal of Hasilpur along with two accomplices Farzand Ali and Akram had allegedly kidnapped Khalid Husain, a resident of Green Town and Ghulam Sarwar when they were returning home after drawing Rs3 million from a bank on May 8, 2005. The kidnappers snatched the money and also demanded Rs5 million as ransom from their relatives. Deciding the case on Wednesday , the court acquitted all the three accused because of hostile witnesses.
