KARACHI: Schoolgirl dies from electrocution

KARACHI, Nov 29: A girl student of class four died of electrocution in Hasan Aulia Village, Rexer Lane, on Wednesday. Shaista Naz, 12, a student of Hasan Aulia village Primary School, was playing outside her home when she accidentally touched a snapped live wire.

The Pushto-speaking family had been living in Nisar Baba’s street near the Mewashah Graveyard for the last several years.

Her father, Irshad Ali, is a clerk in a rice factory and was on duty when the child met with the accident.

Neighbours took the girl to the Civil Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

KILLED: The body of an unidentified man was found in a deserted place in Steel Town on Wednesday.

Police said the 43-year-old man was shot twice in the head and abdomen. His body was found in the bushes near Abdullah Joyo Goth.
