SUKKUR, Nov 21: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz and Jeay Sindh Students Federation held a demonstration outside the press club on Tuesday in protest against exclusion of Sindhi subject from the syllabus of HSC-I.
Yasin Mahar led the protesters. The protesters took out a procession from the Government Islamia Science College and gathered outside the press club.
They raised slogans against the government.
They said that the removal of the Sindhi subject from the syllabus was a conspiracy against Sindhis and Sindh.
They demanded that the government should include Sindhi language as a subject in the syllabus of class HSC-I.
They said that government agencies had picked up several activists of the JSQM and they were being held incommunicado.
They said that the government was not ready to tell their whereabouts.
They demanded that Dr Safdar Sarki and others should be released immediately.
TWO KILLED: Two people were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a pick up on the Adilpur-Ghotki road on Tuesday.
They were identified as Ilyas Chachar and Saifal Memon. The pickup driver fled drove away.
BOY DIES: A minor boy, Jaffer Leghari, 10, was ran over by a wagon when he was crossing the Mirpur Mathelo-Ghotki road.
As a result, he died on the spot. The driver drove away the vehicle.
