LONDON, Nov 21: A Heathrow check-in worker lost an appeal on Monday against the British Air (BA) for stopping her from wearing a necklace with a cross-shaped locket.

The airline has taken the position that under its dress-code policy which applies to thousands across the world such items could be worn if concealed underneath the uniform.

However, the country's second most senior cleric has said the ruling — allowing male Sikh staff to wear turbans and female Muslim staff to wear hijabs — was "flawed".
