KARACHI, Nov 17: Pakistan discarded paceman Mohammad Sami took five wickets for the National Bank of Pakistan on the opening day of their Patrons Trophy grade-I four-day match against Habib Bank Limited (HBL) at the UBL Sports Complex on Friday.

Sami claimed the wickets for 88 runs as HBL were dismissed on 266 on a seaming track.

Test opener Taufiq Umar carried the bat and remained not out on 96 during his 343-minute stay at the crease.

In reply, NBP scored 14 for loss of two wickets in quick succession and were in trouble.
