MULTAN, Nov 16: A local Anti-Terrorism Court No 2 on Thursday acquitted four accused in a rape case.
Rubeena Shaheen, a lady health worker of Lodhran BHU, filed an FIR on Sept 22, 2006, alleging that Muhammad Ashraf, Haji Allah Nawaz and Bashir Ahmed had raped her at the instance of union council nazim Riaz Ahmed Arain due to old enmity. She further alleged that they had also snatched cash and ornaments from her.
The judge said in his decision that rape charges against the accused could not be proved and ordered their release.
