An eye for an eye!

FAISALABAD, Nov 16: A local court on Thursday handed down death sentence on two counts with a fine of Rs100, 000 each to two brothers in a double murder case.

Convicts Basharat Ali and Shaukat Ali had killed Muhammad Aslam and Muhammad Asghar over a minor issue about a year ago. The convicts will have to undergo one-year jail if they default in the payment of fine.

While court exonerated Arshad Lodhi and his son Bilal Ahmed for lack of evidence.

KILLED: Two cousins were killed when an official van hit their motorcycle on Sattiana Road here on Thursday.

Deceased Nasir Ali of Khanewal and Farooq Ali of Multan, riding on a motorcycle, were on way to their office when the speeding van hit them near the fish farm. As a result, both of them died on the spot. While the driver managed to escape from the scene. Their bodies were shifted to the Allied Hospital for autopsy.

Police have impounded the van and started investigation.
