LONDON, Nov 14: The dollar came under pressure against the euro here on Tuesday on signs of tamer inflation in the United States, which appeared to dampen prospects for a rise in interest rates.

The single European currency in late-day trade was at $1.2813 against $1.2804 late Monday in New York.

The dollar was meanwhile trading at 117.76 yen after 118.14 on Monday.

On the London Bullion Market, the price of gold rose to $627 per ounce from $623.50 late on Monday.—AFP
