Clean Pakistan movement

LAHORE, Nov 13: The federal government has decided to launch a countrywide ‘Clean Pakistan Movement’ by the end of the month for emphasising the need for cleanliness within the houses and streets.

Director general of National Volunteer Movement in Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Khalid Masood Chaudhry, stated this during a meeting with DCO Mian Muhammad Ijaz, health, education, environment and solid waste management officials here on Monday.

He said the importance of cleanliness would be highlighted through seminars, walks and stage plays during the campaign which would continue for three to four months. — Reporter
