LAHORE, Nov 9: A man was found shot dead at his house in mysterious circumstances in Kot Lakhpat area here on Thursday.
Police said Iqbal, 40, of Quiad-i-Millat Colony was asleep at his house when some body shot him dead. The deceased was survived by a wife and five children.
The police have registered a case and are investigating.
ACCIDENTS: Two people, including a minor, were killed in accidents in the city on Thursday.
Murtaza, 11, of Ittehad Colony was crushed to death by a train near Firdos Market when he was crossing the railway line.
A speeding pickup ran over a 30-year-old man near Rohi drain in Nishtar Colony area.

ARRESTED: Iqbal Town, Naseerabad and Chuhng police claimed on Thursday to have arrested 17 thieves and burglars of three gangs and seized looted valuables besides illegal weapons from them.
The recovered valuables include goods worth Rs1.45 million, jewellery worth Rs400,000, a laptop, 13 cell phones and illegal weapons.
A special team, headed by the Iqbal Town SPO, nabbed Haider and eight accomplices and recovered looted property worth Rs1.45 million besides illegal weapons from them.
Another team, led by the Model Town SPO, apprehended Ramzan and four accomplices and recovered jewellery worth Rs400,000, a laptop, a cell phone and illegal weapons from their possession.—Reporter
