HYDERABAD, Nov 6: Over half a dozen students who had appeared in the test for admission to the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences and other medical colleges have rejected the results of Hyderabad, Larkana and Nawabshah centres.

The admission test was held by the National Testing Service Islamabad on October 29.

Speaking at a press conference at the press club on Monday, Aakash Panhwani, Syed Asad Shah, Shafqat Soomro and Pardeep Kumar from Hyderabad and Sarfaraz Soomro from Larkana, said that at least five questions of the test were out of course and the rules and regulations were openly violated.

They said that cellphones had been used by candidates with complete impunity and the test was also started late.

They said that the test conducted by the IBA Karachi and the Bahria University some years back were held in a best manner.

They demanded that the test for admission to LUMHS and other colleges should be re-held under the supervision of the army.

They appealed to the president, Sindh governor and the chief minister and the superior judiciary to intervene in the matter and save the future of thousands of students by ordering authorities concerned to re-hold the entry test.

MUET: The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology here on Monday announced the result of test held on Sunday for admission to first year engineering, architecture, planning art and design and city and regional planning 2006-07 (7th batch) in 16 different disciplines.

The test was held at the Public School Hyderabad.
