Border guard killed in Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Nov 2: Suspected rebels shot dead a border security guard and injured two others at a crowded market in Srinagar on Thursday, a border security spokesman said. “Militants opened fire at our patrol in busy Regal Chowk killing one Border Security Force personnel and injuring two others,” BSF spokesman Varinder Manhas told AFP. “The firing sparked panic in the area as people ran for cover,” he said.—AFP
