HYDERABAD, Oct 27: People in different parts of the province celebrated Eidul Fitr on Wednesday with religious zeal and fervour and amid tightened security at Eidgahs and mosques.
In Hyderabad city main congregations were held at Old Eidgah in Saddar, Eidgah in Rani Bagh, Qilla Ground, Liberty Chowk and Holmstead hall.
People faced great difficulties locating the graves of their relatives at Cantonment graveyard which was still submerged in stagnant rainwater left from the September 7 and 8 heavy rains in the city.
The rainwater had virtually washed away several graves.
People complained that the flower sellers had raised the price of rose flowers and petals, which were in many cases not fresh.
The day also saw over-speeding by underage young bikers despite strict patrolling and checking by police causing great inconvenience to other motorcyclists and motorists.
MIRPURKHAS: The district tightened security at the mosques and Eidgahs during the Eidul Fitr prayers on Wednesday.
Police were deployed at the entry and exit points of Eidgahs and religious places of the district to avert any possible threat of untoward incident.
Main congregations were held in Eidgah, Pak Colony, Mohajir Colony, Satellite Town No.2, Chandni Chowk and Taqi Shah ground.
Police patrolled the area as the youths continued to explode firecrackers.
NAWABSHAH: People in the district celebrated Eidul Fitr with religious zeal and fervour with special prayers for the unity of Muslims and prosperity and solidarity of Pakistan.
Eid prayers were offered at different places including Eidgah.
The district had organised a Meena Bazaar opposite the local press club for people.
NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Eidul Fitr was celebrated in all parts of the district with utmost solemnity. People offered Eid prayers at two Eidgahs in the town.
