SAHIWAL, Oct 22: On the orders of the district and sessions judge, the Kamir police registered a murder attempt case.

Reports said Arshad, Shabbir, Ali Ahmed, Javed, Aslam, and Ishaq along with eight unidentified accomplices attacked the outhouse of expatriate Tahir Aftab at Chak 151/9-L on Oct 1 and opened fire, injuring his nephew Irfan. Later, the accused got a case registered against Irfan under Anti-terrorism Act (ATA).

Tahir filed a writ petition with the district and sessions judge who ordered registration of a case under Sections 324, 337-A, 148 and 149 of the PPC. However, no arrests were made. — Correspondent
