LAHORE, Oct 21: Three people were killed while another sustained injuries in an exchange of fire over a monetary dispute in Misri Shah here on Saturday. Police claimed that Ejaz and Shahzad were real estate agents and had a dispute with Sohail Mumtaz and Ghulam Abbas alias Raju of the same area. They had fixed Misri Shah Chowk to resolve the issue.
They had an exchange of harsh words and opened fire on each other as a result of which Ejaz, Sohail and Abbas were killed on the spot while Shahzad sustained bullet injuries.
Police removed the bodies to the city mortuary while the injured was rushed to hospital in serious condition.
Police said Sohail and Abbas were roughnecks and involved in land grabbing.
Man crushed: A speeding truck crushed a man and injured his son in Garhi Shahu on Saturday.
Sher Bahadar, 50, was riding his motorcycle along with his son Akram, 26, when the accident took place near Cup Store. The former died on the spot while the latter was stated to be in critical condition in the Mayo Hospital.
SCHOOLBOY: A schoolboy suffered serious injuries when he jumped from the school gate in cantonment on Saturday.
Wasim, 13, a student of eighth class, was trying to jump over the school gate along with his fellows when he slipped and he fell on iron bars of the gate, which pierced through his face.
He was rushed to the Services Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
