KARACHI, Oct 21: The State Bank of Pakistan has allowed the change of name of Metropolitan Bank Limited as Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited with effect from October 26.

Habib Bank AG Zurich's Pakistan operations will be closed down on October 25 following its merger with Metropolitan Bank, the SBP announced here on Saturday.

The SBP has cancelled the banking licence of Habib Bank AG Zurich with effect from the close of business of Oct 25, 2006.—APP
