MULTAN, Oct 15: A vet has stolen machinery worth Rs 5 million donated by the Canadian and German governments.

Doctor Manzoor Ahmed Mangat, a former vet of the district council, Khanewal, stole the machinery from the Pak-German Technical Training Centre with the help of his friend.

The Khanewal DCO who conducted an inquiry declared the vet guilty and directed the district police officer to register a case against the vet.

The Khanewal City police is now looking for Mangat and his friend.

KILLS FATHER: A man killed his father over a land dispute in Mukhdoompur Pahorawn, Khanewal district, on Sunday.

Police said Allah Bux wanted his father Baqir to transfer land in his name.

On Sunday, Allah Bux shot Baqir dead with the help of two cousins when he was asleep.

Mukhdoompur police have registered a case.
