KASUR, Oct 10: Police have seized chemical string, kites and the related machinery worth Rs9 million during a grand operation.
This was claimed by Kasur District Police Officer Syed Ahmed Mobeen in a press conference here at his office on Tuesday.
The DPO said a team, headed by DSP Attiq Sindhu and B-Division SHO Israr Shah, conducted a raid at the factory of M Akram alias Mumnee, seized chemical string and raw material worth Rs6 million and arrested him. A case was registered against him.
Thereafter, the team raided the factories of Bagh Ali, Nawab Din and Siraj Din at Kot Murad Khan and recovered machinery and raw material valuing Rs2.5 million, he said, adding that the police had registered cases against them after sealing their units.
Mr Mobeen said Mustafabad police, headed by Saddar
DSP Tahir Nawaz Warraich and SHO Tariq Mahmood, raided the factories of Asghar Ali and Barkat Ali and impounded two mini-trucks laden with kites worth Rs0.5 million.
Cases were registered against them.
The DPO claimed that B-Division and Saddar police had launched a similar operation in March this year and seized twine and kites worth Rs6 million.
