She will repent it forever

VEHARI, Oct 9: Mumtaz Mai repents seeking her husband’s `intervention’ to make their eight-year-old son go to school.

Asim wanted a day off from his school in Mustafabad, Luddan, 30 km from here, on Monday, Mumtaz told police.

“Despite my persuation, Asim was not willing to go to school. Then I asked Zahoor Ahmad to prevail upon the boy as leave without a valid reason was not acceptable.”

Mumtaz said her husband got mad when Asim remained adamant. “He picked him up and threw him on a charpoy like a basketball,” Mumtaz said, adding the boy fell unconscious as his head hit the wooden part.

She rushed him to a nearby hospital but he died on the way.—APP
