SAHIWAL, Oct 8: The president’s secretariat has directed Punjab IG to hold an inquiry into the alleged murder of a newly-born baby at a private clinic.
Okara police reportedly registered a murder case On Sept 29 against a dispenser, Abdul Razzaq, a woman, Shamim and her husband Shah Din, for killing a newborn at Osama Clinic, Gamber, on January 9. However, according to the postmortem report, the baby’s death occurred due to `natural’ cause
The father of Razzaq, Zahoor Ahmad, a retired headmaster, appealed to the president, stating his opponents got his son implicated in the case. The president ordered a probe into the matter.
