TANK, Oct 8: A town municipal officer was kidnapped and later set free close to the tribal area near Tank on Saturday.

Officials and area residents said that TMO Tank Hameedullah Marwat was on his way to the tehsil from Kakakhel village when his car was intercepted by five armed men near Gul Imam area.

The kidnappers took the TMO in his car towards the frontier region, they said.
