PESHAWAR: Work begins on museum

PESHAWAR, Oct 8: Governor Ali Mohammad Jan Aurakzai inaugurated construction work on the Pushto cultural museum in the vicinity of Pushto Academy, a subsidiary institution of University of Peshawar, here on Saturday. The project is expected to cost Rs21 million, said an official statement.

Vice-Chancellor of Peshawar University Dr Haroon Rasheed and a large number of teachers were present on the occasion.

The governor, who is also the chancellor of the university, was informed that the project aimed at not only preserving the related cultural heritage including historical literature of this region, including Central Asian States, it would also offer opportunity of research to scholars.—Bureau Report
