Two prayer leaders arrested

SAHIWAL, Oct 7: Harappa police on Saturday arrested two prayer leaders for delivering anti-government speeches in mosques.

Maulana Muhammad Iqbal of Chak 66/GD and Shah Muhammad Khateeb of Chak 175/9-L reportedly delivered provocative speeches in mosques. They were sent to jail on judicial remand.

Police have registered a case against them under the Amplifier Act.

KILLED: A constable was killed while four others, including a sub-inspector, sustained injuries in a road accident on Friday night near Chak 34/EB.
