SAHIWAL, Oct 6: Two people were killed and three injured in an accident on the GT Road near Yusafwala on Friday.

PTCL lineman Nadeem was coming to Sahiwal by his motorcycle with his wife and children. A speeding car (LWJ-1673) hit the motorcycle from the rear as a result of which Nadeem’s wife Sumaira and a child were killed on the spot. Nadeem and two children Zain and Sajjad sustained serious injuries.

Yusafwala police registered a case and arrested car driver Amjad.

ROBBERY: Three motorcyclists deprived a trader of cash on Friday.

Babar was going from the industrial estate to bank in the city to deposit Rs50,100 in cash when three robbers on two motorcycles intercepted him at the gate of Civil Lines police station and deprived him of the cash at gunpoint.

Civil Lines police registered a case.
