KARACHI: Family park in Gadap opens

KARACHI, Oct 6: The PC-1 of a Rs 290 million water supply project for rural areas of Gadap town has been approved.

Speaking at the inauguration of a family park at UC-3 Gadap on Friday, the city nazim, Syed Mustafa Kamal, observed that it was the biggest water project in the history of Gadap town. He said a special infrastructure development fund for Karachi’s goths had been approved and initially Rs 200 million have been earmarked.

He said a day before he had inaugurated a park at Clifton and now he was opening a family park in Gadap.

He said he had good working relations with all town nazims, as they were serving citizens above political affiliations.

Town Nazim Gadap Haji Ghulam Murtaza Baloch and others also spoke.

Meanwhile, Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal has called for an early preparation of PC-1 of development schemes of all the union Councils of Landhi Town while sewerage system should be improved.

He issued these directives while addressing nazims and naib nazims of Landhi Town late Thursday night.

In a briefing on the occasion, Nazim Landhi Town informed that water supply and sewerage lines in the Town are 40-years- old and have outlived their lives. However, the town is trying to overcome the problems through its own efforts.

Nazim Karachi said that after preparation of PC-1 and start of work on it, the people of Landhi Town would feel a good change.—PPI/APP
