MIRPURKHAS, Oct 2: The president of the Chemists and Druggists Association, Mirpurkhas, Mohammad Rafique, has warned that if police fail to arrest the culprits involved in robbing a drug agency, the association will launch a massive protest campaign.
In a statement to press issued on Sunday, Mr Rafique regretted that even after one week police were still clueless about the two robbers who robbed Rs190,000 cash and a mobile phone from the salesmen in the Honest Drug Agency in Lalchandabad.
Neither any member of the administration nor any police official had so far made any contact with the association’s office-bearers, causing concern and anger among chemists and druggists, he said.
Police had never arrested any culprit involved in robbing medical stores, he said adding that about 250 medical stores, wholesalers and distributors were operating in the city.
He demanded that the district nazim, the DCO and the DIG provide them protection and ensure early arrest of culprits.
